The outbound series of lines from rio are not your average lines. Seamlessly connected to the head is a thin diameter long running line that allows for low resistant through your guides for increased distance. Just as i started my search for a new line rio came through with the outbound short type 3 and it hit my sweet spot. Rio s intouch outbound short series of lines are designed to cast large and heavy flies very long distances. The type 3 s 30ft sinking head has a moderate descent rate 3 4 inches per second and leads to an intermediate running line giving me a non hinging and easily controllable natural sink perfect for the slower rivers and intercoastal tides that i will be prospecting in. A short aggressive front taper easily carries large weighted streamers while the powerful head design loads rods deeply and efficiently for effortless casts.
